Introduction

Physics is perhaps the most basic of all the science and it has a vast range of application. That is why many Physics graduates pursue careers as professional scientists in industry government or academia, but a large number are also found in education, in administration and in many other varied fields (such as law) where their analytical training serves them well. It does not matter what your interest is, physics can enhance and enliven your life.

Department of Physics, a department in the Faculty of Science; was established as part of the university’s establishment in 1962 with its offices at the old site. In 1969 the Faculty of Science was moved to the present site that is new site.
